This class is for ages 55+
Use printmaking as a way to explore memory, place, imagination, and dreams in “Memory in Print.” In this hands-on, process-driven class, you will create layered images that begin with gelli plate monoprinting and grow through paint, stencils, texture, found materials, collage, and experimental mark-making. Through guided prompts and studio exploration, you will develop visual storytelling skills while using layering, repetition, and chance to build meaning in print.
You will also get to explore more experimental monoprint techniques inspired by symmetry printing and Rorschach-style inkblots to discover unexpected imagery within abstraction. By the end of the course, you will have a collection of one-of-a-kind finished prints infused with personal storytelling.
New and returning students are welcome in Memory in Print; fresh projects each session support continued exploration and skill-building.
Creative Aging Program: Adult students ages 65+ enrolled in this class are eligible for a tuition discount ranging from 50% to 100%, based on their age. Visit the registration page for full details. This program is supported by a grant from the Foundation for Seacoast Health.
