The closest COAST bus stop to PMAC is the Plaza 800 stop on Line 40, which is 0.3 miles away. The Middle St./Aldrich Rd. stop on Line 41 is also 0.5 miles away. Portsmouth Senior Transportation (COAST)
PMAC is an approved stop for Portsmouth Senior Transportation, operated through COAST. Portsmouth Senior Transportation is a partnership between COAST and the City of Portsmouth that provides sustainable, safe, convenient, and comfortable transportation options to Portsmouth seniors and eligible adults with disabilities.
Portsmouth Senior Transportation is open to all Portsmouth residents aged 62 and over or with an eligible disability (ages 18–61). Individuals who qualify under these conditions can call ahead to schedule a ride to/from PMAC for $3 each way. You may also set up regular recurring trips, like attending PMAC for a weekly lesson.
- This service is offered Monday through Friday, 6am–6pm.
- Trips may not exceed 5 miles beyond the Portsmouth City line and must stay within New Hampshire and Eliot or Kittery, Maine.
- Individuals from the general public who are 18 or older and do not qualify for the service under the eligibility conditions are eligible to use it, but they must pay the full cost of their trip.

Parking
PMAC has 18 dedicated parking spaces directly in front of our building at our Islington Street location. Please DO NOT PARK in front of our direct neighbors’ buildings: New Hampshire Theatre Project, Bill Truslow Photography, Port One Architects, or 1001 Islington Street Apartments, as you will be towed. There is also limited additional street parking on Islington St. If you have any questions about where to park at PMAC, please ask the Front Desk for help.
