Create a handmade book that brings your ideas to life—with pages that unfold, move, and surprise as your story takes shape. In this hands-on class for grades 4–6, you’ll learn creative bookbinding techniques such as accordion folds, gatefolds, layered pages, simple sewn bindings, and interactive page structures.
Through drawing, collage, mixed media, and writing, you will develop your story, while using page design and book structure to shape how that story is revealed and experienced.
By the end of the course, you will have created one or more handmade artist books that showcase your creativity, storytelling, and new bookbinding skills.
