About FRANCESCO BARONE

Award-winning guitarist Francesco Barone has performed widely across the United States as a soloist and chamber musician. He has been featured by guitar societies, including the Boston and The New England Classical Guitar Societies. As a prizewinner of the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society Guitar Competition, his performances have been broadcast on NPR. He holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts and a Master of Music from The Hartt School, University of Hartford and currently teaches at Saint Anselm College.

About Guitar Sundays

Guitar Sundays is a free, family-friendly monthly concert series that showcases a rich lineup of classical guitar talent from the Seacoast, broader Boston region, and nationwide. The series is free and open to the public! 

Guitar Sundays concerts are presented in partnership with the Portsmouth Public Library, which hosts half of the concerts on the annual series. Additional support is provided by the Boston Classical Guitar Society and The Augustine Foundation, whose grant support allows PMAC to bring guitarists from outside the New England region to perform as part of this series.
