Portsmouth Music and Arts Center seeks a dedicated part time art therapist to launch a new art therapy program for the organization. The ideal candidate would work with clients of all ages, including adults. The position begins in Fall 2024 and will be one day per week (Friday or Saturday).

Responsibilities

DUTIES:  Reporting to the Director of Education, duties are as follows:

  • Provide weekly art therapy sessions in a 1:1 setting
  • Passion for art therapy and working with a diverse population
  • Lead offsite outreach group opportunities as needed
  • Participate in recruitment activities inside and outside of the school
  • Attend faculty meetings several times a year
Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Art Therapy or Expressive Arts Therapies, LPC and ART preferred. New graduates (ART-P) will be considered.

The successful candidate for this position will be subject to a pre-employment background check.
