Portsmouth Music and Arts Center seeks a collaborative pianist to accompany our choir program. The ideal candidate should have experience accompanying choirs of a variety of levels and ages. The position will be onsite at our building in Portsmouth, NH, on Wednesday and Thursday, and at venues along the NH and ME seacoast for performances in April and May.
Reporting to the Director of Education, duties are as follows:
- Accompany the Sandpipers Youth Chorus (ages 8-12) on Wednesday afternoons
- Accompany Voices in Motion (ages 12-18) on Thursday afternoons
- Attend faculty meetings several times a year
- Opportunities to perform on faculty concerts as a soloist or with other faculty in a chamber music setting
Bachelor of Music in piano performance, collaborative piano, or equivalent experience preferred. Candidates who are available for one day/group are encouraged to apply, as we can fill this role with multiple candidates if needed.
The successful candidate for this position will be subject to a pre-employment background check.
