The Bluegrass Ensemble explores the rich traditions and energetic sound of bluegrass music! This ensemble explores all aspects of the genre, from learning the unique roles of each instrument to singing tight vocal harmonies and mastering the art of soloing. With roots in Appalachian folk, country, and blues, bluegrass has evolved into the fast-paced, improvisational style we know today.

The Bluegrass Ensemble welcomes late beginner and intermediate adult musicians on acoustic guitar, accordion, mandolin, fiddle, upright bass, and banjo. Whether you’re drawn to the lively rhythms or the soulful storytelling, this ensemble is the perfect place to grow your skills and enjoy playing together.

Creative Aging Program: Adult students ages 65+ enrolled in an adult music ensemble are eligible for a tuition discount ranging from 50% to 100%, based on their age. Visit the registration page for full details. This program is supported by a grant from the Foundation for Seacoast Health.
