This class is for ages 55+
Explore creative, environmentally conscious printmaking using natural, found, and recycled materials in PMAC’s Sustainable Printmaking class. You’ll experiment with techniques such as cyanotype sun printing, botanical printing with leaves and natural textures, low-tox linoleum block printing, collagraph printing made from repurposed materials, and simple drypoint etching on recycled plastic surfaces. In addition to printing on paper, you can also experiment with fabric, textiles, and other alternative surfaces.
This hands-on class encourages curiosity and experimentation as you explore texture, layering, and the expressive possibilities of everyday materials. With an emphasis on process, you’ll build skills and create a varied collection of prints in a supportive studio environment.
New and returning students are welcome to join Sustainable Printmaking; fresh projects each session support continued exploration and skill-building.
Creative Aging Program: Adult students ages 65+ enrolled in this class are eligible for a tuition discount ranging from 50% to 100%, based on their age. Visit the registration page for full details. This program is supported by a grant from the Foundation for Seacoast Health.
