Andrew Cropper is an active and professional trombone player who has performed across the New England area in a variety of performing ensembles, including the Keene State College Concert Band, Jazz Band, Brass Quintet, and Brass Ensemble, as well as UMASS Amherst’s Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Brass Quintet, and Brass Chamber Ensemble. Andrew has also performed in numerous pit orchestras and held bass trombone positions with the Keene Jazz Orchestra and the Amherst College Symphony Orchestra. Andrew has also shared the stage with incredible guest artists such as former principal trumpet of the New York Philharmonic, Phil Smith, and late American jazz singer, Sheila Jordan. After recently returning to his hometown of Hampton, New Hampshire, today Andrew plays trombone with the “Deep Blue “C” Studio Orchestra” and recently held a principal trombone position with the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic.

Everyone approaches music differently, and I strive to meet students towards both their creative interests and desired skills. I aim to create a positive, fun, and supportive space where students feel motivated to practice, improve, grow, and enjoy the process of musical learning.
