Meet Crystal Taber
Singer-Songwriter Crystal Taber, who performs under the name Crystal Marie, is a thriving performer in the New England musical community. She is the lead singer of her award-winning band Champagne Casanova as well as a solo artist. She debuted her new releases at Island Hopper Songwriter Festival this year and one of her songs “Tailgate to Heaven” won 2nd place in Nashville’s Lance Carpenter Song Writing Contest in 2023. Her first original album will be released this Summer 2024. She made her Nashville debut on multiple stages during CMA Fest 2023 and has opened for Luke Coombs’ hit singer songwriter Ray Fulcher (“Going, Going, Gone”, “When it Rains it Pours”).
A graduate of Boston University’s Vocal Performance program, Crystal performed at Boston Symphony Hall with the BU Symphonic Choir under Dr. Ann Howard Jones and in the Marsh Chapel Choir. She made her professional Jordan Hall debut in 2009 as a soloist. She also performed in operas and opera scenes. Crystal has sung the National Anthem for many New England sports teams including the Boston Celtics. She is an active volunteer around the New England community and a judge for the annual Boston Junior Idol auditions. During her reign as Ms. Maine 2018, she spoke about her mission and sang to over 6,000 youths at a charity concert at TD Station, New Brunswick, Canada.
Crystal coaches vocal lessons for singers, actors, and public speakers of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. An avid fitness and health junkie, she believes that a healthy body and mind are invaluable for all singers. She is known for incorporating movement into her lessons and performances. Her specialties include coaching breathing techniques, movement, singing in various languages, harmonies, acting, and last but not least, maintaining a healthy voice.
