Cellist Eli Kaynor is a touring musician who has recently relocated to Portsmouth, NH. In addition to serving as the acting Associate Principal of the Lynchburg Symphony (VA), he is also a member of the Winston-Salem and Greensboro Symphony Orchestras (NC). Closer to home, Eli is a frequent member of Opera North, the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music, Point CounterPoint (VT), and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, where he serves on their teaching artist roster. Other recent engagements include being a faculty artist at the Bosphorus International Music Academy, a musician with the Presidential Symphony Orchestra of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and shows with such pop-rock artists as Evanescence, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Josh Groban. Eli received a Professional Artist Certificate and a Master of Music degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a Bachelor of Music degree from Chapman University in Orange, CA. Eli enjoys hiking and running, playing contradances with his family, comic books, and the Oxford comma.
