“Making discoveries on an instrument, making connections on an instrument – for a student – even if they’re not going to become a professional musician – it helps in all areas of their life. They’re processing things by taking something big and turning it into smaller pieces. When you see somebody go from a point A to a point B on their instrument you feel like you’ve helped them learn and internalize something fundamental and important.” – Jason Crigler

Jason’s Thoughts on Music
Jason works with each of his students to help them develop a real connection to their instrument. “Music is so much more than reading notes on a page,” he says. “Reading music is important, but I also like my students to be able to pick up their instrument and play something beautiful without having to take out a book or a piece of paper. I want to help them develop that kind of connection to music because it will stay with them for their entire lives.”
