She was the Master Teacher for the String Project at the University of New Hampshire for four years, and has also taught at UNH’s Summer Youth Music School. Sally has maintained a private teaching studio in the New Hampshire Seacoast area since 1984, and is a Past President of the New Hampshire Chapter of the American String Teachers’ Association. She conducts the New Horizons Orchestra at PMAC.

Sally’s Teaching Philosophy

Working with the adults in the New Horizons Orchestra is a joy. We play music in a variety of styles, leaning more toward the classical string orchestra repertoire. We focus on ensemble skills and musicianship, while individuals work to improve their own instrumental technique. I believe in positive reinforcement, as the ensemble comes together to have fun making music!

Education: B.M. in Viola Performance, New England Conservatory of Music; M.A. in Music Education, University of New Hampshire
